High Diastolic Blood Pressure Can Muddle Your Mind – Was It A Senior Moment Or BP Problem?

There has been a lot of talk that high diastolic pressure may cause a lessening of cognitive function but none of the studies were conclusive. Recently the University of Alabama at Birmingham concluded a study of nearly 20,000 otherwise healthy people and it concludes that there is no doubt that abnormal diastolic pressure can impact the brain’s ability to reason and may be a precursor to dementia.
